Hello, my fellow gift givers,
And we know what that means. It’s time to buy presents, which can be stressful, especially if you don’t know where to start. So making it a little easier, I have come up with a list of 10 gifts the writer in your life will love.
1. Stone Papper Notebooks
Notebooks are a staple of any writer’s toolbox. Now if you would like to make it a little more special, why note get them a stone paper notebook. The pages are waterproof, which is great even you prefer taking notes outside or are more on the clumsy side. The notebook ensures your notes are protected from any tea, coffee, or rain damage.

2. Pens
Now a notebook is no use without a pen to write with. Some people might think that pens are a cop out a gift for a writer. Yet I have still not met one who doesn’t love a good bit of stationary. If you want to make it more special, investigate some fancy or refillable. My sister has got me great pens for many occasions, and I love them all.

3. Writers Dice/Story Cubes
Story dice are a great way to fend off the writer’s block or even provide some fun prompts. They come in many types, so you can pick out the right set for the writer in your life. Regardless of which set you use, the writing dice are a good way to grease the creative cogs.

5. Writing Software
A useful gift which I’m sure many a writer would appreciate. There are hundreds of different softwares out there for various types of writers and what every they struggle with. ProWritinAid Is a great tool for self-editing. Or if they need a software which is more supportive during the novel writing process, why note buy them a subscription to Dabble or Scrivener? For scrip writers, getting them a subscription for Final Draft.

6. Murder Board When I mean a murder board, I mean a white/corkboard somewhere where your writer can visualise and map out their story. If you're a writer, don’t have a space like that, yet this could be a great gift to give them.

7. Dictaphone
Not all writers like taking physical notes, some prefer talking through a scene. And the best way not to lose any of your notes is if you recorded them. You can get pretty decent Dictaphone for around £16, but you can also get a transcribing Dictaphone which can make you access your notes as soon as you upload it to your computer.
